Job Description:

This exciting role of IT Support Officer is a key part of our organization's digital transformation journey. As a member of our IT team, you will be responsible for providing technical support and expertise to our Dental Services department throughout NHS Highland.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide timely and effective technical support to users, ensuring minimal disruption to our services.
  • Collaborate with our IT team to design, implement, and maintain our network infrastructure, including local area networks, firewalls, and routers.
  • Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of our network topology, ensuring seamless integration with our NHS-wide area network.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and best practices in IT support, including Hyper-V, Windows Server, GPO, MS 365, SCCM, and WIN10 desktop environments.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service, responding to user queries and concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Travel throughout NHS Highland to provide on-site support, utilizing pool cars or other transportation as needed.

Requirements:

  • Education to degree/HND or equivalent level in a relevant field.
  • At least two years of experience in a similar IT support role.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with users of all levels.
  • Strong technical skills, including proficiency in Hyper-V, Windows Server, GPO, MS 365, SCCM, and WIN10 desktop environments.
  • A clean UK driving license, with a willingness to travel throughout NHS Highland.
