GSL Education is collaborating with an exceptional school in Poole to find a dedicated SEN Class Teacher.

The role offers a unique opportunity to provide tailored educational support to students, helping them achieve their full potential.

  • Develop and implement lesson plans that accommodate the varying abilities and learning styles of SEN students.
  • Regularly assess student progress, providing constructive feedback and adjusting teaching strategies as necessary.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere, employing effective behaviour management techniques to support student engagement and learning.
  • Work closely with parents, colleagues and external professionals to develop and implement effective support plans tailored to each student's needs.

This position requires:

  • A Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Prior experience working with children with special educational needs or relevant studies in child psychology.
  • An understanding and compassionate approach to helping students in an inclusive learning environment.

To be eligible for this role, you must:

  • Have the right to work in the UK.
  • Have an updated CV with two relevant references from the last two years and covering the last ten years barring any unexplained gaps.
  • An enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service or be willing to apply for one.

As a successful candidate, you will receive a competitive salary, paid to scale depending on your experience. Please note that a strong knowledge and understanding of safeguarding and child protection are essential for this role.
