Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team at Heathrow Airport, responsible for the maintenance and repair of our baggage handling systems. As a key member of our Maintenance Support Team, you will work closely with our Airport Service Manager to ensure the smooth operation of our systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on baggage handling systems, including electrical and mechanical tasks.
  • Conduct analytical troubleshooting to identify and resolve technical issues in a timely manner.
  • Ensure all Preventive Maintenance (PPM) schedules are completed within agreed timescales.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to identify and resolve complex technical faults.
  • Perform systems analysis on various systems, including S7 PLC, Profibus, and other related technologies.
  • Support existing site-based BEUMER Group Maintenance colleagues.
  • Work effectively as part of a team and independently, with a strong focus on customer satisfaction.

Requirements

  • Relevant qualifications in mechanical or electrical engineering, such as City and Guilds/NVQ or an ONC in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
  • Proven experience in a similar role, preferably within sortation and distribution or a fast-moving production environment.
  • Familiarity with Emergency Stop Systems and Safety Supervision Systems.
  • Excellent communication and IT skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.

Working Conditions

This role involves working a 12-hour shift pattern, covering a 24-hour/7-day operation, including bank holidays. You will be part of a dynamic team that values collaboration, mutual respect, and a culture of trust and stability.
