About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Structural Engineer to join our highly regarded Civil & Structural team within our Hydrock Cardiff office. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering scheme and concept designs, detailed design, and project management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and delivery of building structures projects
  • Manage and develop a team of engineers and technicians
  • Collaborate with clients, architects, and contractors to ensure project success
  • Prepare and submit calculation packages to Building Control
  • Attend client, design, and site meetings
  • Develop and implement project plans and schedules
  • Monitor and control project costs and resources

Requirements

  • MEng or BEng in Civil or Structural Engineering
  • Chartered membership or Associate membership of the IStructE or ICE
  • Significant experience in building structures design and project management
  • Strong communication, analysis, and technical design skills
  • Experience using analysis and design software packages
  • Ability to design through hand calculations
  • Understanding of BIM requirements up to and including Level 2
