Job Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled Speech and Language Therapist to join our team as a Lead SALT. The ideal candidate will have experience working with children and young people with Special Educational Needs (SEN), including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Speech and Language Delays.

This is a permanent, full-time opportunity based in the Putney/Barnes Area. The successful candidate will work in various settings, such as mainstream schools, special schools, or community settings within the local area.

About the Role
  • Provide individual and group therapy interventions, assessments, and tailored support plans to meet pupils' communication needs.
  • Collaborate with teaching staff, SENCOs, and other healthcare professionals to deliver holistic, person-centered care.
  • Write reports and maintain accurate records of progress.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of relevant therapeutic interventions and strategies for speech, language, and communication needs (SLCN). They will also possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with pupils, families, and staff.

Requirements
  • Qualified Speech and Language Therapist with HCPC registration.
  • Experience working with SEN children and young people, including those with ASD, Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD), ADHD, and communication challenges.

The salary for this position is approximately £40,000 - £60,000 per annum, depending on experience. As a valued member of our team, you will receive comprehensive training and development opportunities, including regular CPD and supervision. You will also have the opportunity to work closely with a supportive multidisciplinary team to build your expertise and make a positive impact.

To be considered for this role, applicants must have a relevant qualification in Speech and Language Therapy and HCPC registration. DBS clearance is also required.
