Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and organized Purchase Ledger Specialist to join our Finance Department at Southdown Housing Association. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for maintaining an effective Purchase Ledger system, processing transactions, and ensuring the accuracy of financial records.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and manage the Purchase Ledger system in accordance with established financial policies and procedures.
  • Process transactions and upload batches of invoices onto the Ledger in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Process payment runs via BACS and maintain Bank Mandate records.
  • Manage debit card applications in connection to the Association's bank accounts.
  • Assist the Financial Control Manager with the preparation of monthly accruals and deferrals schedules.
  • Filing and archiving of financial records in a secure and organized manner.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in finance roles such as Finance Officer, Finance Assistant, Purchase Ledger Officer, or Purchase Ledger Assistant.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work accurately and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively with colleagues.
