The successful candidate will be responsible for providing and monitoring relevant treatment pathways, improving mental health and quality of life, and promoting health, well-being, and independence.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Conduct specialist assessments, care, and treatment plans, and risk assessments for older adults.
  • Work proactively within a multi-disciplinary mental health service, collaborating with healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care.
  • Have a working knowledge of relevant legislation, including the Mental Health Act, Mental Capacity Act, and Mental Health Welsh Measure.
Requirements:
  • Significant post-registration experience in Old Age psychiatry.
  • Skilled in risk assessment and risk management.
  • Understanding of contemporary approaches and developments in mental health.
  • Post-qualification training in relevant areas.
  • Understanding of the CHC process.
  • Committed to professional development and ongoing learning.

  • Knowledgeable and skilled in assessment, requiring the ability to organise, plan, and signpost care.
  • Flexible to meet the needs of the service, with strong verbal and written communication and networking skills.
  • Skilled in care and treatment planning, with clinical supervision skills.
