We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Legal Advisor to join our Legal Services Team in Bristol as a Technical Lead, supporting the team of Legal Advisors on a permanent basis. This role will be delivered on a flexible hybrid model of working three days from home and two days at our office.

This team provides initial legal advice and assistance to our RAC and corporate partner customers covering a range of private law matters, offering positive resolutions over the phone, including policy application and guidance on all products provided by and/or serviced by RAC Legal Services.

As part of the team, you will provide services for our prestigious corporate partners, including many well-known brands across the insurance, banking and financial services sectors, as well as offering access to advice and support to over 2 million of our own members.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver exceptional service to our members and other customers through the provision of high-quality legal advice over the phone on most private legal matters.
  • Utilize data and CRM/database to record accurate details of all interactions.
  • Keep up to date with the law, our internal processes and policies to enable you to support the rest of the Legal Advisory team with all things technical.
  • Your role will be divided between helping both customers and colleagues.
  • You will support the Quality Assurance and Training Manager with their quality motoring and through coaching and rounded feedback, support the team on their continuous improvement journey.
  • Manage complaints from within the team to resolve them in a timely manner while keeping customer satisfaction at the heart of everything you do.

Requirements:

  • You will need no less than 6 months of experience working in a customer-facing role, along with a Law graduate (LLB and postgraduate qualification, eg, LLM, LPC/LSF or BVC) and/or equivalent legal/insurance qualification or have allied industry gained work experience.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbally and written, along with the ability to communicate to clients and colleagues at all levels.
  • High-level time management skills and the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines/manage your own and others' workload.
  • Strong administration and organization skills and a high level of attention to detail.
  • A broad range of IT skills, including knowledge of Microsoft Office Tools & Applications.
