Job Title: GL Accountant

The GL Accountant role is a critical position within the finance team, responsible for ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of general ledger bookings for the CTD EMEA entity in Horsham. This individual will work closely with senior financial accountants, managers, and other teams to achieve financial goals and improve accounting processes.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Prepare and process all accruals, prepayments, IC transactions, and inventory bookings.
  2. Collaborate with inter-company partners to ensure timely balance agreements between entities.
  3. Maintain the fixed asset register and post monthly entries.
  4. Prepare monthly figures for loading into HFM, resolving queries, and loading supplemental data.
  5. Submit VAT statements to local authorities.
  6. Reconcile general ledger balance sheet accounts.
  7. Set up new vendors in CODA and SAP, and create finance purchase orders.
  8. Prepare and submit national statistics surveys.
  9. Interact with internal and external customers, and assist with other finance team members.
  10. Review and improve general accounting activities to ensure audit-readiness.
  11. Collaborate with senior finance managers to review and improve accounting activities and controls.
  12. Liaise with internal and external auditors.
Requirements:
  1. Strong general ledger knowledge and experience with monthly, quarterly, and annual closing and financial reporting.
  2. Ability to identify process and control gaps, and champion improvement initiatives.
  3. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  4. Proven history of building relationships with peers and operating partners to enforce compliance of finance and accounting processes.
  5. Good skills with MS Excel, and experience with CODA and HFM.
  6. Experience in general ledger and operational finance roles.
