Job Summary

As a skilled Manual Machinist at Weldfit, you will be responsible for the operation of manual machines, ensuring precision and quality in every aspect of your work. Your expertise will be crucial in performing machine maintenance and repairs, adhering to company safety rules and regulations, and maintaining a clean and organized work environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate manual machines with precision and accuracy.
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on machines, ensuring optimal performance and efficiency.
  • Report any manufacturing errors or incidents to your supervisor immediately.
  • Adhere to company safety rules and regulations, wearing required personal protective equipment at all times.
  • Perform quality checks on parts using inspection devices, ensuring compliance with manufacturing specifications.
  • Work collaboratively with your supervisor to achieve good production results and discuss ways to improve processes in the shop.
  • Read and interpret blueprints and machine drawings, understanding manufacturing documents and specifications.
  • Update job orders accurately and double-check completed work to ensure quality and attention to detail.
Requirements
  • Ability to work with fractions, decimals, and trigonometry.
  • Proficiency in using precision measuring instruments.
  • Ability to perform machine set-ups without assistance.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and machine drawings.
