About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Electronics Design Lead to join our client's team in Andover. The successful candidate will lead the design and development of power electronics systems, including semiconductor power modules (SiC and GaN), DC/DC and DC/AC converters, gate drivers, and associated components like DC-link capacitors.

The ideal candidate will oversee power module qualification testing to industry standards, produce technical documentation, and ensure designs meet performance, safety, and reliability requirements. They will also utilize modelling and simulation tools for circuit and thermal analysis, as well as schematic capture and PCB/DBC/AMB layout.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and development of power electronics systems
  • Oversee power module qualification testing to industry standards
  • Produce technical documentation
  • Ensure designs meet performance, safety, and reliability requirements
  • Utilize modelling and simulation tools for circuit and thermal analysis
  • Schematic capture and PCB/DBC/AMB layout

Requirements

To be considered for this role, you should have:

  • A minimum MEng/MSc level in Electrical/Electronics Engineering
  • Proven experience in the design of semiconductor power modules and converters
  • Desirable: experience with automotive traction drives
