Job Title: Factory Director

Pioneer Selection Ltd is seeking an experienced Factory Director to lead our production team in Dartford. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our factory, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and company policies, and driving continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Hands-On Duties (80%):
    • Set up production lines and ensure smooth operation
    • Conduct day-to-day compliance checks and health and safety audits
    • Load and unload lorries and manage delivery yard activities
    • Operate Fork Lift Truck and perform health and safety checks on equipment
    • Manage quality control processes and ensure high-quality products
  • Hands-Off Duties (20%):
    • Schedule rotas, appraisals, and holidays for production team members
    • Manage temporary labor and stock control
    • Coordinate facility health and safety checks and HR tasks
  • Production Operations Management:
    • Lead and supervise production workers and agency staff
    • Develop and implement production schedules to meet customer demand
    • Monitor production metrics and take corrective actions to meet targets
  • Machinery Repair and Maintenance:
    • Conduct regular machinery inspections and coordinate with maintenance technicians
    • Set up and run various types of machinery
  • Training and Development:
    • Train production workers on standard operating procedures and safety protocols
    • Produce training material and maintain the training matrix
  • Continuous Improvement:
    • Identify and implement process improvements, cost reductions, and waste elimination
    • Apply Lean manufacturing principles to optimize production processes
  • Safety and Compliance:
    • Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies
    • Conduct regular safety audits and address any safety concerns
