We are seeking an experienced Engineering Associate to join our team at EDP Energias de Portugal S.A. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the design process of assigned projects, providing technical support, and ensuring compliance with regulations and deadlines.

Main Accountabilities:
  • Coordinate the preparation of technical projects for renewable energy generation plants and electrical interconnection infrastructure.
  • Participate in the design of electrical infrastructure for generation plants and prepare documentation for grid access and connection applications.
  • Coordinate and validate specific key studies for integration in the engineering project.
  • Develop and apply technical standardization in the concerned geography.
  • Prepare technical packages for construction Request for Proposals (RfPs) and provide support to the Procurement Department.
  • Optimize the construction start-up times and guarantee the coordination and technical quality in the handover of the project.
  • Provide support to the due diligence process for new projects and assist with all aspects that need to be managed locally.
  • Understand and apply policies to prevent occupational hazards, environment, and quality to ensure implementation and compliance on tasks under their responsibility.
  • Represent EDPR to agencies and institutions in matters relating to its jurisdiction.
Minimum Requirements:
  • Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or Bachelor of Electrical Engineering.
  • At least 8-10 years of experience in Wind/Solar PV Power Plants.
  • Knowledge of local and International technical normatives.
  • Language: Country language (Spanish or others are a plus).
