Process Engineer

About the Role:
Huntsman is seeking a skilled Process Engineer to join our team at our Performance Products plant in South Wales.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the Site Manager in achieving business objectives and meeting customer needs.
- Lead site Process Safety risk assessments, including HAZOP, PHA, and LOPA, and revalidate work.
- Maintain compliance with corporate EHS/PSM Procedures.
- Design engineering and process safety elements of plant improvements initiatives and capital projects.
- Commission new plant and equipment.
- Support the introduction of new products and materials, including technical assessments of existing plant and equipment.
- Provide production advice to Operations by tracking plant performance and trends and undertaking technical calculations.
- Support the EHS Manager in achieving compliance with Huntsman EHS global standards and regulatory requirements.
- Develop relationships and liaise with colleagues at other Huntsman facilities to share learning and understanding of technology and operational practice.
Requirements:
- Degree qualified in Chemical Engineering or a relevant subject area.
- Knowledge of process equipment design and modeling software systems.
- Member of a recognized engineering or scientific institution with Professional Status.
- Process Engineering experience within the Oil, Chemical, or allied Process Industries.
- Experience of leading site-based improvement projects.
- Experience of Process Safety Management systems, including HAZOP, PHA, LOPA, MOC, SOP.
- Experience working in a COMAH regulated site.
