Process Engineer

About the Role:
Huntsman is seeking a skilled Process Engineer to join our team at our Performance Products plant in Llanelli, South Wales.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the Site Manager in achieving business objectives and meeting customer needs.
- Lead process safety risk assessments, including HAZOP, PHA, and LOPA, and revalidate work.
- Maintain compliance with corporate EHS/PSM procedures.
- Design and implement engineering and process safety elements of plant improvements and capital projects.
- Commission new plant and equipment.
- Support the introduction of new products and materials, including technical assessments of existing plant and equipment.
- Provide production advice to Operations by tracking plant performance and trends.
- Support the EHS Manager in achieving compliance with Huntsman EHS global standards and regulatory requirements.
- Develop relationships and liaise with colleagues at other Huntsman facilities to share learning and understanding of technology and operational practice.
Requirements:
- Degree qualified in Chemical Engineering or a relevant subject area.
- Excellent communication skills and a solution-focused approach.
- Desirable: knowledge of process equipment design and modeling software systems, membership of a recognized engineering or scientific institution, process engineering experience in the Oil, Chemical, or allied Process Industries, experience of leading site-based improvement projects, and experience of Process Safety Management systems.
