About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Process Design Engineer to join our Environment Business division in the Midlands and Scotland. As a key member of our Engineering Design Team, you will lead and deliver high-quality engineering designs that meet stringent industry standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the creation of technical design outputs with a focus on quality, compliance, and innovation.
  • Act as the discipline lead on key projects, providing strategic direction and technical oversight.
  • Develop and optimise designs that are both cost-effective and buildable, ensuring they meet the highest safety and environmental standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of design activities with procurement and on-site operations.
  • Drive the adoption of digital design tools and promote continuous improvement within the team.
  • Mentor and develop early-career engineers, helping to build the next generation of engineering talent.
Requirements
  • Extensive experience in process calculations, mass and heat balances, and hydraulic design.
  • Proficiency in developing process block diagrams, PFDs, and P&IDs.
  • Leadership experience in HAZOP and DSEAR is advantageous.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to manage stakeholder relationships effectively.
  • Chartered Engineer status or a commitment to achieving it is preferred.
