Main Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a defined caseload of paediatric clients in a community setting, utilizing evidence-based and client-centered principles to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate interventions in hospital and community settings. They will provide a high standard of physiotherapy service to the specialist caseload, leading junior staff through supervision and appraisal as delegated by the supervisor. Additionally, they will supervise physiotherapy students on clinical placements, participate in continuing professional development, and develop skills and knowledge through in-service training schemes. The role will also involve working across the Health Board and traveling between sites as required to support service delivery.

Key Requirements
  • Relevant clinical experience in physiotherapy at band 5 level
  • Experience working in a healthcare setting
  • MDT experience in healthcare
  • Some paediatric experience at graduate or undergraduate level
  • Any external experience working with children
  • IT skills and software systems
  • Clinical knowledge in paediatrics to basic level
  • BSc Hons Physiotherapy
  • Enthusiasm to work with children and willingness to learn
  • Experience with outside agencies - e.g. social services, safeguarding or education
