Job Title: Biomedical Research Scientist

Job Description:

Carcinotech, a leading biotechnology company, is seeking a highly skilled Biomedical Research Scientist to join their team. As a key member of the scientific team, you will be responsible for conducting research and development activities to support the company's growth and innovation.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Design and execute experiments to optimize cell-based assays, including viability, cell counts, apoptosis, cytotoxicity, ELISA, DNA/RNA extractions, PCR, and RT-PCR.
  2. Prepare and analyze samples for flow cytometry and perform FACS analysis.
  3. Develop and implement quality control procedures to ensure reliable and consistent outputs.
  4. Collaborate with the scientific team to develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) and protocols.
  5. Contribute to the development of new quality measures and standards to advance the company's offering.
  6. Assist with the implementation of new technologies and equipment to support research and development activities.
  7. Develop and maintain accurate and detailed records of experiments, results, and data analysis.
  8. Communicate research findings and results to the scientific team and management.

Desirable Criteria:

  1. Experience with histology techniques, including sample processing, microtomy, cryotomy, H&E staining, and immunohistochemistry.
  2. Experience with analyzing patient databases, genetic, and bioinformatics data.
  3. Experience with using/programming liquid handling robotics.
