Biomedical Scientist Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Biomedical Scientist to join our team at Kleboe Jardine Ltd. As a key member of our scientific team, you will be responsible for conducting quality-focused research and development activities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist the scientific team in testing products and services offered by the company
  • Ensure reliable, consistent outputs through optimization and routine running of cell-based assays
  • Prepare samples for flow cytometry and perform FACS analysis
  • Report results of QC assays and raise issues as they arise
  • Prepare and ship samples and plates to outsourced providers and clients
  • Own and maintain standard QC SOPs
  • Input into the preparation and review of Certificates of Analysis
  • Assist with drug testing, creation and execution of dosing plans, and data reviews
  • Maintain up-to-date inventory of frozen samples
  • Keep Electronic Lab Notebook (Benchling) updated and create reports when required
  • Assist with implementation of new quality measures and standards
  • Contribute to internal development projects to advance Carcinotech's offering
  • Contribute to writing of protocols and standard operating procedures (SOPs)
Requirements:
  • Working to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) in a quality environment such as GLP/GMP
  • Experience in DNA/RNA extractions, flow cytometry, PCR, RT-PCR, ELISA
  • Experience performing 3D cell culture
  • Demonstrable experience in statistical data analysis interpretation and visualization
  • Proficient in using MS Office packages - Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
  • Diligent approach to data recording
  • Ability to multi-task several projects simultaneously
  • Creative approach to problem-solving
  • Experience in analysing patient databases, genetic and bioinformatics data
  • Experience using/programming liquid handling robotics
