About the Role

AtkinsRéalis is seeking an experienced Environmental Impact Assessment Consultant to join our team. As a key member of our UK Environment Practice, you will be responsible for leading and coordinating environmental work on multi-disciplinary projects, including EIA, options appraisals, and environmental assessments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead on the coordination and delivery of environmental work, including EIA, options appraisals, and environmental assessments;
  • Project manage teams of environmental professionals;
  • Responsibility for programme and commercial management aspects of projects, including budget control;
  • Champion high standards of environmental performance within multidisciplinary engineering projects, influencing project development and delivering optimal environmental outcomes;
  • Competently undertake own work to an excellent standard, and review the work of others, on time and to budget;
  • Manage clients' needs in a confident, professional manner;
  • Lead on bid preparation and develop new areas of business for the team;
  • Mentor and assist with staff development;

Requirements

  • Degree or Masters in an environmental or science subject;
  • Experience working on the delivery of EIAs for major infrastructure projects;
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the UK EIA process and associated legislation;
  • Experience of leading multidisciplinary teams;
  • Strong report writing, verbal, and presentation skills, and able to review the work of others to ensure quality;
  • Able to prioritize and work effectively under pressure;
  • Good interpersonal skills and an ability to communicate issues and ideas effectively;
  • Flexible, adaptable, and prepared to take on new challenges, including working from other AtkinsRéalis or client office locations;
  • Highly self-motivated, possessing strong enthusiasm and commitment to delivering sustainable outcomes;
