Job Description

**Quality Technician Role at Planet Recruitment Services Ltd**

We are seeking a highly skilled Quality Technician to join our team at Planet Recruitment Services Ltd. As a Quality Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality of our products and services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • **Lead Quality Instructions and Work Instructions**: Take ownership and lead on Quality Instructions, Level 0 activities, and Work Instructions generated for quality issues within the designated perimeter.
  • **Manage and Resolve Quality Issues**: Take ownership of managing and resolving quality issues identified by manufacturing and production areas.
  • **Communicate Effectively**: Effectively establish and communicate problem scenarios to relevant internal and external stakeholders.
  • **Review Quality Systems and Processes**: Review internal quality systems and processes and ensure timely progression of suspect components.
  • **Manage Third-Party Sorting Actions**: Manage Third-Party Sorting actions onsite efficiently and transition containment activities to suppliers promptly.
  • **Escalation Process**: Follow and complete internal escalation processes for addressing problems and supplier issues.
  • **Quality Communication**: Ensure clear communication of quality-related topics to relevant personnel and business units.
  • **Additional Duties**: Fulfil any additional duties as assigned by the line manager.
  • **Process Improvement**: Produce detailed WES and WIS (Work Instructions) for the corrected process or methods.
Requirements:
  • **Prior Experience**: Prior experience in Quality Technician or Senior Quality Inspector roles is essential along with knowledge of quality containment and corrective action planning / problem resolution.
  • **Technical Skills**: Strong understanding of SAP/ERP and online data recording / management systems for quality.
  • **Interpretation Skills**: Proficiency in interpreting engineering drawings including interrogation from CAD system access.
  • **Measuring Equipment**: Utilizing basic measuring equipment as necessary to identify problem and corrective actions.
  • **Software Skills**: Excellent MS Office capabilities including Word, Excel and Powerpoint.
  • **Communication Skills**: Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate within a team environment.
  • **Attention to Detail**: Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high-quality standards.
  • **Flexibility**: Flexibility to work shifts, including night shifts, and willingness to adapt to changing priorities.
Working Conditions:
  • **Rotating Shifts**: Monday - Thursday 06:30 - 15:30 - Friday - 06:30 -11:30
Job Type and Benefits:
  • **Contract**: Contract (Inside IR35)
  • **Length**: 6-12 months
  • **Pay**: £20.00 per hour
