Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and enthusiastic Clinical Support Worker to join our dedicated team at Samphire Ward, an award-winning acute inpatient unit for adults aged 18 to 65 presenting with a range of mental health needs.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality care and support to our service users, promoting their independence and well-being.

Main Duties

The successful candidate will be required to:

  • Provide 1:1 time with service users, promoting their physical and emotional well-being
  • Undertake therapeutic observations of all service users, using assessment tools to inform their care
  • Support service users on a 1:1 basis, providing varying levels of support and care
  • Undertake physical management of violence and aggression training to manage challenging situations
  • Take service users on leave in the community, promoting their social and recreational activities

Qualifications and Experience

The successful candidate will require:

  • NVQ L2/3 H&SC or Diploma L2/3 in H&SC or apprenticeship L2/3 in H&SC
  • Previous experience within the care sector, with a focus on mental health

Skills and Abilities

The successful candidate will require:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work without direct supervision, liaising appropriately with other practitioners in the team
