We are seeking a highly skilled Quality Systems Manager to join our team at Pilgrim's Europe in Bodmin. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting our technical team and ensuring compliance with legislation, industry standards, and customer requirements.
The key responsibilities of this role include:
Key Accountabilities- Drive and develop a strong food safety culture within the site
- Design, implement, and maintain the site Quality Management System to ensure production of safe, legal food to the expected quality
- Ensure document control is in place, maintained, and adhered to
- Coordinate the delivery of the Internal audit program to assess compliance with food safety, quality, and animal welfare standards
- Provide cover for the Technical Manager during times of absence
- Manage the implementation of customer and external agency standards, including BRC
- Lead the site's TACCP program, including being the site TACCP lead
- Assist with conducting gap analysis on new standards and generating implementation plans
- Manage raw material specifications, packaging specifications, and customer and internal finished product specifications
To be successful in this role, you will have a minimum of 5 GCSEs, HACCP Training Level 3 or working towards, and Level 3 food safety in manufacturing or working towards. A Degree in food or manufacturing-related science would be desirable.
