">Job OverviewWe are seeking an experienced Activity Support Worker to join our team on Beach ward at the Julian Hospital in Norwich, England.
The successful candidate will be responsible for facilitating and planning a range of person-centred activities for our patients with older adults who require admission and treatment for different types of dementias and other associated neurological conditions.
Main DutiesYou will work closely with our Band 6 Occupational Therapist, Band 4 Technical Instructor, and nursing team to deliver high-quality care and support.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Planning and delivering activities that promote social interaction, cognitive stimulation, and emotional well-being.
- Assisting patients with daily living tasks, such as bathing, dressing, and meal preparation.
- Maintaining accurate records of patient activity participation and progress.
We offer a competitive salary of £24,071 - £25,674 per annum, depending on experience, plus benefits including comprehensive training programmes, career progression opportunities, and starting annual leave of 27 days increasing to 33 days based on length of service.
RequirementsTo be successful in this role, you will need:
- A strong understanding of mental health care principles and practices.
- Experience working with vulnerable adults or individuals with dementia.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
