Cardiac Physiologist

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Cardiac Physiologist/Clinical Scientist to join our expanding team at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing expert care to patients undergoing invasive cardiology and arrhythmia management procedures.
Main Responsibilities- Provide support to the Head of Cardiac Implantable Devices in the operational management of the service.
- Work as an independent practitioner in cardiac device implantation and follow-up, as well as invasive cardiology.
- Be actively involved in the following areas of practice:
- Simple and complex device implant, follow-up, and extraction, including pacemakers, ICDs, CRT, S-ICD, leadless, epicardial, and conduction system pacing.
- Simple and complex electrophysiology.
- Structural Intervention, including TAVI, Mitraclip, Valvuloplasty, ASD/VSD/PFO closure, other percutaneous congenital interventions, and left atrial appendage occlusions.
- BSc in Clinical Physiology/Healthcare Science (Cardiac Physiology) or equivalent academic achievement ratified by RCCP/ACHS.
- Evidence of continuing professional development and proficiency in accordance with RCCP/ACHS/HCPC guidelines.
- British Heart Rhythm accreditation, IBHRE, EHRA, or equivalent in Cardiac Implantable Devices.
- Significant post-qualification experience in Cardiac Implantable Devices and Electrophysiology.
- Experience in provision of training and education.
- Successful completion of device/electrophysiology logbook or accreditation.
