We are seeking dedicated individuals to work as teaching assistants in SEMH/SEND schools based in South Birmingham. The successful candidates will have experience working with challenging students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and be looking to make a career change into a school environment.
The increasing number of student referrals has led to the need for extra staff to support pupils on an individual basis and provide general classroom assistance.
- Support students outside of the classroom, focusing on their pastoral and personal development.

- Maintain supervision of students not in class, addressing any concerns that may arise.
- Previous experience working with teenagers is essential.
- A strong background in behavior management is required.
- The ideal candidate will possess a team player attitude, with a positive and flexible approach to work.
- Experience working within an ASD school or setting is highly desirable.
In return, our successful teaching assistants and learning mentors will enjoy:
- A competitive rate of pay: £25,000 - £35,000 per annum.
- Sufficient time to plan and prepare lessons.
- The flexibility to choose when they want to work.
- Ongoing support from a dedicated SEND Consultant.
- The opportunity to make a genuine difference in the lives of students.
