Mathematics Lead Opportunity

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Mathematics Lead to join a highly ambitious game development studio. The studio is formed by an international group of professionals and enthusiasts with broad experience in mobile, play-to-earn casual development, and slots. They work with world-class artists, programmers, mathematicians, and musicians to produce innovative, creative, and entertaining casino games.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Define the portfolio, product strategy, and roadmap with key stakeholders.
  2. Collaborate with different teams to create the next generation of leading games.
  3. Communicate and ensure implementations align with designs.
  4. Implement configurations for modes using company frameworks and tools.
  5. Test mathematical outcomes to ensure quality and accurate calculations.
  6. Review and provide feedback to the team to ensure maths models reflect correct maths.
  7. Analyze performance data to identify future mechanics and industry trends.
  8. Analyze performance post-launch and provide insights about customer behavior.
Requirements:
  1. Ability to separate good ideas from great ones.
  2. Slot machine mathematical design expertise, primarily focused on slots, with experience leading and executing designs of previous successful games.
  3. Designed or been involved in the design of 20+ games with various machine types and maths models.
  4. Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
  5. Delivered top-performing slots for land-based or online companies.
  6. Advanced user of MS Excel, comfortable creating and adapting large and complex spreadsheets.
  7. Worked with programming teams to create or adapt simulation programs.
  8. Knowledge of Rust programming language is a plus.
  9. Passion for playing games of multiple genres, with a passion for slots and casino.
  10. Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
