Head of Maths Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Head of Maths to lead our Mathematics department at an academic school in Camden. This is a full-time position that requires a highly skilled and dedicated individual who is passionate about Mathematics and committed to providing a high-quality education to students.

About the Role

  • Lead and Manage the Maths Department
  • Strategic Direction and Support to Maths Teachers
  • Evaluate and Monitor Student Progress and Achievements
  • Collaborate with Colleagues to Develop and Implement Effective Teaching Strategies and Resources
  • Mentor and Guide Maths Teachers
  • Contributions to the School's Maths Program and Extracurricular Activities
  • Maintain Accurate Records of Student Attendance, Behavior, and Academic Performance

Requirements

We are looking for an individual with Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent, Specialization in Mathematics or a related field, and a Postgraduate degree in Mathematics or Mathematics Education (preferred). Significant experience teaching Mathematics, preferably in a leadership role, is also required. Excellent leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team, are essential. Strong subject knowledge in Mathematics, with the ability to deliver outstanding lessons, is necessary. Excellent communication, organizational, and analytical skills, with a commitment to ongoing professional development, are also required.
