Head of Maths Opportunity

Wayman Group is seeking an exceptional Head of Maths to lead our academic school in Camden. As a highly skilled and dedicated individual, you will play a crucial role in shaping the Mathematics department and ensuring our students receive a comprehensive and engaging curriculum.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement a strategic plan for the Mathematics department, driving academic excellence and student achievement
  • Provide guidance and support to Mathematics teachers, promoting a positive and inclusive learning environment
  • Evaluate and monitor student progress and achievements in Mathematics, identifying areas for improvement and developing targeted interventions
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement effective teaching strategies and resources, ensuring a cohesive and high-quality Mathematics program
  • Mentor and guide Mathematics teachers, fostering their professional growth and development
  • Contribute to the school's Mathematics program and extracurricular activities, promoting a love for Mathematics and academic excellence
  • Maintain accurate records of student attendance, behavior, and academic performance, ensuring compliance with school policies and procedures
Requirements

We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced individual with:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • Specialization in Mathematics or a related field
  • Postgraduate degree in Mathematics or Mathematics Education (preferred)
  • Significant experience teaching Mathematics, preferably in a leadership role
  • Excellent leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team
  • Strong subject knowledge in Mathematics, with the ability to deliver outstanding lessons
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and analytical skills
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and keeping up with the latest developments in Mathematics education
