GSL Education is seeking a dedicated and passionate Behaviour Support Worker to join our team of professionals supporting students with special educational needs.
Key Responsibilities- Assist students in developing positive behaviours and learning programmes.
- Collaborate with teachers and other colleagues to ensure effective support.
- Liaise with families, careers, and external agencies to implement Individual Education Plans.
- Work as part of the Inclusion Team to provide support to disaffected and vulnerable students.
- Take responsibility for the safety and welfare of individuals and small groups of students.
- Passionate and caring individual with a strong commitment to supporting students with special educational needs.
- Grades A-C in Maths and English at GCSE.
- Previous experience working with SEN, challenging behaviours, youth offending, youth work, or support work.
- Desirable qualifications include TEAM TEACH.
- Flexibility and ability to work well within a team.
- Experience working with children with a variety of needs and backgrounds.
- Knowledge of behaviour management strategies and empathetic listening skills.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Current DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply for a new one.
