This pivotal role will operate in a hybrid capacity, offering the opportunity to work alongside visionary minds in the automotive field. As a key member of our engineering team, you will play a crucial role in driving the success of our projects and contributing to the advancement of our organisation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and guide the design team on the front zone design, ensuring the structures package is fully integrated with other function groups.
  • Work closely with the CAE crash team to deliver a structure that meets project attributes for safety, stiffness, and NVH.
  • Set timing and plan activities for the front structure to meet project gateways and deliverables.
  • Monitor the weekly progress of the front zone and report status to the vehicle Line manager, project manager, and head of structures.
  • Have a good knowledge and understanding of crash legislation for front, rear, side, and roof.
  • A good understanding of battery integration, structure, and structural test requirements.
Requirements
  • Previous BIW Automotive experience.
  • Good understanding of manufacturing techniques for castings, tube manipulation, welding, and bonding.
  • Ability to work with multiple stakeholders and drive towards a common goal.
  • A calm multitasker who successfully managed, prioritized, and executed against deadlines in a rapidly changing environment.
