Assistant Quantity Surveyor

Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join our team in East Kent. As a key member of our Quantity Surveying team, you will play a crucial role in reviewing project plans, specifications, and drawings to identify potential cost implications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the Quantity Surveying team to review project plans, specifications, and drawings to identify potential cost implications.
- Assist in the valuation of work completed, managing payment applications, and ensuring accurate financial documentation.
- Support in the negotiation and settlement of variations, claims, and disputes, ensuring compliance with contractual obligations.
- Liaise with contractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders to gather necessary information and resolve any cost-related queries.
- Assist in contract administration tasks, including contract drafting, review, and management.
- Weekly and monthly reporting and forecasting through to the final account, all under the supervision of a Senior Quantity Surveyor.
About the Company:
Our client is a national building contractor working on a variety of construction and refit projects across the South East. They are in the process of growing a regional team to meet the demands of the project.
