Assistant Quantity Surveyor Job Description

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join our team. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for assisting in the valuation of work completed, managing payment applications, and ensuring accurate financial documentation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the Quantity Surveying team to review project plans, specifications, and drawings to identify potential cost implications.
  • Assist in the negotiation and settlement of variations, claims, and disputes, ensuring compliance with contractual obligations.
  • Liaise with contractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders to gather necessary information and resolve any cost-related queries.
  • Support in contract administration tasks, including contract drafting, review, and management.
  • Weekly and monthly reporting and forecasting through to the final account, all under the supervision of a Senior Quantity Surveyor.

Our client is a leading building contractor working on a variety of construction and refit projects across the South East. They are in the process of growing a regional team to meet the demands of the project.
