Job Description:

As a Higher-Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) at Supply Desk, you will play a pivotal role in supporting classroom teaching and learning activities. Collaborate closely with teachers, provide guidance to other support staff, and lead instructional sessions to enhance students' educational experience.

  • The ideal candidate will hold a recognised HLTA qualification or equivalent, have previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant, and possess strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • You will assist in planning and preparing lessons and learning resources, support the implementation of Individualised Education Plans (IEPs), and adapt materials as needed.
  • Prioritise student progress and maintain records of achievement, help manage classroom behaviour, and create a positive and inclusive learning environment.

Requirements:

  • Strong leadership skills to effectively lead small group activities
  • Ability to communicate effectively with teachers, students, and support staff
  • Flexibility and adaptability to the changing needs of the classroom
  • Patience, empathy, and a passion for working with students of diverse abilities

Estimated Salary: £90-£110 per day
