Store Manager

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Store Manager to join our team at University of the Arts London. As a Store Manager, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the store, including managing the retail team, achieving sales targets, and maintaining a high level of customer service.
Key Responsibilities- Manage the retail team, including regular meetings, personal development plans, and commission/contest rewards.
- Recruit and train new staff, and develop a continued training program for existing staff.
- Monitor sales targets and manage the team and operations to achieve excellent store performance.
- Plan and distribute the staffing schedule, keeping labour costs within budget.
- Oversee stock delivery, stock transfer, and stock room maintenance processes.
- Develop creative strategies to maximise the role of the store within the territory.
- Effectively manage performance and corrective action processes in conjunction with Human Resources.
- Previous retail management experience is essential, preferably in women's fashion.
- You must be passionate about the Glassworks London brand/products, have clear styling ability, and love communicating with people.
- A natural ability to identify stand-out sales talent, and the drive and maturity to train, develop and manage retail teams.
- A detailed understanding of retail KPIs (revenue, ATV, UPT, profit) and a clear track record of success in your previous work experience.
- A clear track record of taking ownership of the performance of your store and team, including initiatives that you introduced that drove success.
- IT skills - you will be comfortable using and learning new technologies, including Microsoft Excel and an electric POS system.
