Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Financial Aid Administrator to join our team at the University System of New Hampshire. As a key member of our financial aid team, you will be responsible for reviewing financial aid applications, performing need analysis, and determining eligibility for financial aid programs.

This is a regular appointment position with a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, retirement, tuition, and paid time off.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review and process financial aid applications, ensuring accuracy and compliance with federal and state regulations.
  • Perform need analysis and determine eligibility for financial aid programs, including federal, state, and institutional aid.
  • Develop and manage financial aid offers, including federal, state, and institutional aid, using professional judgment and knowledge of federal and state regulations.
  • Reconcile federal loan accounts on a monthly basis and assist with annual audits of awards.
  • Provide excellent customer service to students and parents, responding to inquiries and resolving issues related to financial aid.
  • Collaborate with the financial aid team to ensure timely and accurate delivery of financial aid packages.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree and one year of related experience in financial aid administration, or Associate's degree plus 3 years of experience.
  • Familiarity with U.S. Office of Education policies and procedures governing federal aid programs and need analysis procedures.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree in a related field.
  • Experience with computerized record systems for financial aid.
  • Knowledge of federal and state regulations governing financial aid.
