About the Role

We're seeking a talented Category Buyer to join our team at Screwfix. As a key member of our buying team, you'll play a crucial role in driving the growth of our categories through strategic planning and execution.

Key Responsibilities
  • Participate in financial budgeting and forecasting activities to inform category growth strategies.
  • Directly influence category growth through strategic planning and execution, working closely with our suppliers and the Kingfisher Group.
  • Contribute to product range development and innovation, ensuring our offerings meet local market demands and customer needs.
  • Ensure product offerings meet local market demands and customer needs, enhancing overall customer satisfaction.
Requirements
  • Experience in retail trading, buying, or a similar role.
  • Strong understanding of commercial concepts and customer focus.
  • Ability to manage strategic sales, understand seasonality, and analyze financial reports.
  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent presentation and project management skills.
