Join Fives Landis Ltd as a Machinist

We are seeking an experienced Machinist to join our Machine Shop team at Fives Landis Ltd, a leading manufacturer of high-precision cylindrical and special grinding machines.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate 5-axis CNC machines using SIEMENS 840D controls.
  • Read and interpret engineering and quality documentation, with an understanding of geometric tolerances.
  • Ensure procedures are adhered to and documentation is controlled, ensuring quality parts are delivered to stores on time.
  • Prove out and edit CNC programmes using Siemens 840D controls.
  • Visual and dimensional inspection checks against engineering specification.
  • Load and set fixture and components.
  • Load programs.
  • Lifting and slinging.
  • 5s Housekeeping.
  • Quality Mindset to ensure right first time.
  • Asset care.
  • Adherence to PPE and HSE.
