Join Fives Landis Ltd as a Machinist

We are seeking an experienced Machinist to join our Machine Shop team at Fives Landis Ltd, a leading manufacturer of high-precision cylindrical and special grinding machines.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate 5-axis CNC machines using SIEMENS 840D controls
  • Read and interpret engineering and quality documentation, with an understanding of geometric tolerances
  • Ensure procedures are adhered to and documentation is controlled, ensuring quality parts are delivered to stores on time
  • Prove out and edit CNC programmes using Siemens 840D controls
  • Visual and dimensional inspection checks against engineering specification
  • Load and set fixture and components
  • Load programs
  • Lifting and slinging
  • 5s Housekeeping
  • Quality Mindset to ensure right first time
  • Asset care
  • Adherence to PPE AND HSE - Work within a team, maintaining safety and cleanliness of the work area
