About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Nursery Practitioner to join our team at Alton College Nursery. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and education to our young students.

Responsibilities
  • Ensure that all requirements of OFSTED and other statutory bodies are met, including safeguarding, children's well-being and health and safety requirements.
  • Act as a Key Person to a small group of children, building an attachment with the child and parents.
  • Provide safe and stimulating play in the Nursery through daily routines, ensuring all children are treated as individuals and are provided with a rich environment following their interests and learning style.
  • Keep individual Learning Journals for each Key Child, recording observations, achievements, and significant dialogue.
  • Participate in training to ensure up-to-date knowledge of new legislation and recommended guidelines from OFSTED.
  • Comply with the requirements of the Early Years Foundation Stage, Nursery and College Policies and Procedures.
Requirements
  • A Childcare qualification level 2 or above.
  • A good level of Education in English and Maths.
  • Knowledge of EYFS.
  • Paediatric First Aid.
  • Enthusiastic and energetic.
  • Passion for childcare and development.
