Job Summary

Michael Page Finance is seeking an accomplished Audit Senior to lead our accounting team and oversee comprehensive audit processes. The ideal candidate will have a robust understanding of audit procedures, as well as the ability to effectively communicate with stakeholders across the business.

About the Role

  • Oversee and manage comprehensive audit processes for a leading professional services firm.
  • Lead, mentor, and support a team of junior auditors to ensure high-quality audit results.
  • Experience of managing audits across Owner Managed Businesses, with a focus on compliance and risk management.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders across the business, including senior management and clients.
  • Ensure compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements, including financial reporting and governance.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, built on trust and expertise.
  • Continuously improve audit methodologies and practices, staying up-to-date with industry developments and best practices.
  • Prepare and present audit reports to senior management, highlighting key findings and recommendations.
  • Participate in business development initiatives, identifying new opportunities and growth areas.

Requirements

  • A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, with professional certification (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CPA).
  • Proficiency in audit software and databases, with experience of managing complex audit projects.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team of junior auditors.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and address audit risks.
  • High integrity and professionalism, with a strong commitment to ethics and compliance.
