Job Overview

JSS Search is seeking an experienced Credit Controller to join our team in the City of London. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for managing our credit control processes and ensuring timely payments from our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and issue monthly broker statements of accounts to ensure accurate and timely payments.
  • Allocate funds received and request closings and slips from brokers to optimize cash flow.
  • Pursue debtors through regular communication to secure payment and resolve any issues.
  • Identify and escalate NOC from aged debt to minimize financial risks.
  • Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to facilitate the collection process.
  • Chair regular meetings with business units to address credit control issues and escalations.
  • Provide oversight to existing processes, challenging any redundant requirements and ensuring continuous improvements.
  • Analyze and identify inconsistencies in booked premium, liaising with the technical team to correct entries.
  • Resolve unallocated cash and provide constructive feedback on issues resulting in misposting.
  • Perform ad hoc duties as requested by management.

Requirements:

  • General Insurance and Credit Control background with at least 2 years of experience in the finance department.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, and analyze large amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective communication with external clients.
  • Knowledge and experience with Sequel Eclipse is a plus but not essential.
  • Proactive and a team player with strong time management skills and ability to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to multitask and meet Service Level Agreements.
