About the Role

A secondary school on the border of Brent and Barnet requires a dedicated SEN Department Assistant to support their students with special educational needs. This rewarding position involves working one-to-one with a child, providing tailored support and helping them overcome challenges.

Key Responsibilities
  • Classroom Support: Assist teachers in lesson preparation and delivery.
  • Individual and Group Support: Provide targeted support to students with SEN, both in small groups and one-to-one.
  • Resource Management: Organize resources for lessons and ensure they are prepared and available.
  • Student Progress: Monitor and record student progress, providing feedback to teachers and parents.

The ideal candidate will have experience working with children with SEN, hold knowledge of Makaton or British Sign Language, and possess excellent organizational skills. They should be passionate about education and able to motivate students. A DBS check is required for this position.

Estimated Salary: £90-£100 per day
