Quality Manager Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Quality Manager to join our team at Distinct Consultancy Group Ltd. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and managing all aspects of Quality engineering relating to the manufacturing process.

The ideal candidate will have experience of managing a technically demanding Quality Department and strong leadership skills, with the ability to motivate team members as and when appropriate.

The Quality Manager will be responsible for ensuring that all manufacturing processes comply with all legal standards, including EH&S, at both national and international level. They will also be responsible for managing a team of Quality Control (QC) Inspectors and establishing in-house quality procedures with suitable KPIs that comply with ISO Standards.

The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills, including the ability to present a detailed quality strategy to senior management. They will also have a proven track record in setting a long-term vision on quality and driving it forwards to improve company performance.

What We Are Looking For

  • Experience of managing a technically demanding Quality Department
  • Strong leadership skills, with the ability to motivate team members as and when appropriate
  • In-depth knowledge of both ISO 9001 and AS 9001 ideally ISO 14001 Standards
  • Ability to set up/maintain an ISO 9001 Quality Management system from first principles
  • Auditor experience
  • In-depth knowledge of AS9100
  • Proven track record in setting a long-term vision on quality, and driving it forwards to improve company performance
  • Understanding of industry regulations, including all EH&S
