About the Role

This is a highly demanding position for a seasoned project manager to lead automation projects in a fast-paced warehouse environment. With over 4,000 employees, our distribution centre is undergoing significant changes and requires someone with strong leadership skills and technical expertise.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage end-to-end automation projects from planning to completion, ensuring timely delivery and within budget.
  • Develop project plans, including scope, timelines, and budgets, and coordinate with cross-functional teams.
  • Act as the main point of contact for stakeholders, providing updates and facilitating decisions.
  • Integrate automated solutions, such as robotics and conveyor systems, ensuring compatibility with existing WMS and ERP systems.
  • Manage risks, process optimisations, and budgets, and drive continuous improvement.
  • Lead and mentor teams, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence.

Requirements:

  • Strong engineering background; project management certifications are desirable.
  • Experience in managing automation projects in warehousing or manufacturing, preferably with similar scale.
  • Effective team leadership skills, knowledge of automation tools, and ability to drive results.
