Store Manager

The Deputy Manager plays a crucial role in partnering with the management team to deliver on the location's broad range of KPIs and inspiring the team. In the Location Manager's absence, the Deputy Manager takes on the responsibility of managing the store and demonstrates an entrepreneurial flair in running the business like it's their own.
Main Responsibilities- Work in partnership with the Location Manager and the wider management team to achieve store goals.
- Lead by example, promoting excellent team participation and nurturing an inspiring work environment every day.
- Take ownership of all recruitment within the store, ensuring dedicated, competent, and driven individuals are sourced and a comprehensive on-boarding induction is delivered.
- Develop and implement training and development programs for the team, utilizing Teds Talent & Development resources to ensure the team is up-to-date and knowledgeable on current business focuses.
- Engage and inspire the team to deliver exceptional customer service at every opportunity, with passion and enthusiasm.
- Be proactive in developing and coaching others, and have a flexible but consistent approach to differing people and situations.
- Confidently provide feedback on team performance to the Location Manager, Area Manager, and People Team when required.
- Demonstrate a thorough knowledge of Teds current season, including license and exclusive product available on the website.
- Stay up-to-date on current product knowledge and be proficient in the 6 C's detail - Called, Colour, Composition, Cost, Care, and Cut.
- Ensure the implementation of merchandising guidelines, replenishment methods, and housekeeping standards to maintain the highest level of representation for Ted.
- Be responsible for ensuring the team demonstrates Greet, Observe, Talk, Assist, Thank (GOTFAT) with enthusiasm and consistency, understanding both online and offline and the impact of actions on the customer experience and sales.
- Keep yourself, team, and customers up-to-date, and take an active interest in engaging with Ted's social media activity.
- Nurture an effective sales environment through a strong understanding of local market, customer profiles, and shopping behaviors.
- Coach and inspire the team to achieve location performance targets and deliver an environment of genuine customer connection.
- Assist with managing the controllable elements of the store's profit and loss budgets.
- Be highly organized and ensure all adhere to store administration, systems, and processes within The Global Retail Hub / Operational guidelines.
- Display a competent knowledge and understanding of company business systems such as Teds Vault, AX, and SharePoint.
- Consistently drive and sample all company operational KPIs.
- Ensure the management of costs and support the Location Manager in delivering on Profit and Loss expectations.
