Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Quality Assurance Manager to join our Digital Engineering team at Storyteq. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading and mentoring a team of QA engineers, ensuring high-quality deliverables, and driving the implementation of quality standards and best practices across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and mentor a team of QA engineers, providing guidance and support to ensure high-quality deliverables and efficient testing processes.
  • Coordinate with QA managers and manage QA team activities, including work allocation, task prioritization, and estimations.
  • Define and enforce quality standards, best practices, and guidelines across the QA team and the broader development organization.
  • Represent the QA team at project meetings and conference calls, ensuring effective communication and collaboration with stakeholders.
  • Perform functional testing and review test strategies for manual and automated test suites.
  • Develop and maintain test documentation, including test plans, test cases, and test reports.
  • Lead the creation and maintenance of coding standards for manual and automation testing.
  • Assist QA managers with recruitment, resourcing, inductions, training, and performance reviews.

Requirements

  • Strong understanding of manual testing processes and methodologies, including experience with testing standards, test scripts, and testing best practices.
  • Good understanding of test automation and automation tools, including experience with Selenium or other automation tools.
  • Experience leading across the software development life cycle, including experience with setting testing standards, writing test scripts, and implementing testing best practices.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with team members, developers, project managers, and stakeholders.
  • Understanding of user experience and hands-on experience in functional testing, UI testing, and non-functional testing.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience working within an Agile team.
  • Proven track record of requirements analysis and documentation.
  • Working knowledge of accessibility testing.
  • Experience of test automation with a solid understanding of frameworks and best practices.
  • Good knowledge of CI/CD, build pipelines, and tools such as Jenkins.
  • Software testing certification or qualification (e.g., ISEB, ISTQB).
