Job Title: Electrical Engineer - Power Electronics Specialist

Job Summary:

Optamor is seeking a highly skilled Electrical Engineer - Power Electronics Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our Vehicle Electrification Team, you will be responsible for designing and developing high-voltage electrical systems for our electric vehicles.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop high-voltage electrical systems, including power electronics and electrical architecture.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of electrical systems with other vehicle components.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, including design specifications, test plans, and technical reports.
  • Participate in system reviews, verification, and validation activities to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Work with stakeholders to identify solutions, projects, and milestones that contribute to the success of our vehicle program.

Requirements:

  • Significant experience in high-voltage electronics or component delivery within an automotive engineering environment.
  • Demonstrable understanding of high-voltage electrical architectures and underlying principles and technologies, including thermal management, lifetime operation, control strategies, and current capacity versus weight saving.
  • Experience with project engineering, preparation of project documentation, and reports.
  • Risk management, mitigation, and recovery planning.
  • Experience with system/component delivery within an APQP, six sigma, or similar framework (FMEA, DVP, quality planning, PPAP, etc.) and full product lifecycle activities.
  • Possession of a Mechanical, Control Systems, Automotive, or similar honors engineering degree.
  • Full driving license is essential.
