Electrical Maintenance Engineer Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Maintenance Engineer to support our Highways Division and ensure the smooth operation of our electrical infrastructure. As an Electrical Maintenance Engineer, you will work closely with our planning team to develop and implement maintenance schedules, conduct electrical maintenance duties, and perform installation and commissioning works.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct electrical maintenance duties associated with the National Highways communications network infrastructure.
  • Carry out installation and commissioning works in relation to project requirements.
  • Perform risk assessments and assist with the creation of method statements for electrical maintenance activities.
  • Monitor and report to line manager on progress and issues.
Requirements:
  • 16th to 18th Edition electrical qualifications.
  • Ability to work in outside environments, at heights, and in confined spaces.
  • Happy to travel and stay away overnight on occasion.
  • Willingness to work outside contractual hours if required.
Desirable:
  • Periodic electrical and testing inspections (City and Guilds 2391 or 2392 or equivalent).
  • Experience of electrical maintenance requirements within buildings or telecommunications infrastructure.
  • Knowledge of NRTS products and services or Alcatel proprietary telecommunications systems and infrastructure.
