About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to support our students in their learning journey.

Ixworth High School is a small high school nestled in the picturesque Suffolk countryside, serving around 600 pupils. We pride ourselves on providing an education system that caters to individual needs and strengths, with a Specialist Resource Base for pupils with Communication and Interaction needs.

Job Description
  • Assist students in the classroom under the direction of the class teacher
  • May invigilate exams and tests
  • Support educational visits as required
  • Supervise break times and facilitate games and activities

As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in supporting the teacher in behaviour management and keeping pupils on task. You will also work closely with staff and parents/carers to ensure seamless communication and understanding.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Experience working with children or young people
  • Ability to communicate effectively with pupils, staff, and parents/carers
  • Good organisational skills and attention to detail
